League of Legends- Celebrating 10 years!

League of Legends- Celebrating 10 years!

Congratulations on 10 years of League of Legends! In what has been a milestone achievement for Riot Games, on November 10th LoL is turning 10 years old.

During their YouTube announcement, they had a lot to say. For the people who thought that League of Legends was dying, the game is coming back bigger and better than ever.

Lucian got his wife back!

The newest champion to join the LoL franchise is Senna, The Redeemer. During a heated battle between Lucian and Thresh, her soul was thought to be trapped forever in Thresh’s lantern. Senna’s soul is now free and reunited with Lucian once again, but her time trapped inside the lantern has noticeably changed her.

Senna, The Redeemer will be the first Support Marksman for the LoL franchise and is sure to create new and interesting gameplay dynamics. Don’t miss out- “Senna: Shadow’s Embrace” is available on October 29th.

LOL is going mobile/console

No surprise there. Almost every game out there is going multiplatform. “Fortnite,” “Call of Duty,” “Hearthstone” and such have paved the way. With a slightly different name “Wild Rift,” Riot Games wants LoL to conquer mobile and console gaming.

FPS??!? – Project A

Riot Games showed us a glimpse of their first-person shooter with the code name “Project A.” It gave me an “Overwatch” meets “Counterstrike” vibe. In 2020, we will get more info about this new game. It will definitely shake up the FPS world.

Legends of Runeterra

It was only a matter of time before Riot Games would develop a digital collectable card game in the LoL universe. It’s deep lore, huge fanbase and exciting gameplay lends itself perfectly to the genre. It is sure to be a worthy opponent to the likes of “Hearthstone” and “The Elder Scrolls: Legends.” Let’s see when the game is released if it has microtransactions or pay-to-win elements.

Finally, the game gods have heard my prayers. In addition to the many new gaming titles, Riot Games has also announced “Arcane” a brand new animated series that takes place in the LoL universe. League of Legends has always had amazing animated cinematics, so I am sure this new series will not disappoint!

Watch the trailer for “Arcane” below. Enjoy!

Clearly, Riot Games has been hard at work to give us what we wanted, and I can safely say the ‘S’ in Riot Game(s) makes sense now.

If you’re like me and you can’t get enough of League of Legends, there are viewing parties to watch the LoL Worlds 2019. Click here to find out more!
